My daughter is 8yrs old and has been diagnosed since she was a baby. I have been through the medicine thing but you can also try aveeno oatmeal baths and/or the lotion/cream of your choice that contains hydrocortisone. You are probably going to find only 1% but that can be your substitute. Resently I have been using Avon’s moisture therapy extra strength cream for extremly dry skin. Good luck!!

Corticosteroids can relieve symptoms, but they can also severely irritate skin. In a 2-month multicenter study of the B12 cream, German researchers asked 49 volunteers to slather it on one side of their body and a placebo cream on the other.
Nearly 60 percent said the B12 cream relieved their symptoms (11 percent reported that the placebo helped). The cream should be available later this year.” 1
